Social
responsibility has always been central to Jaypee Group’s
business conduct and corporate life. This sense of responsibility
has always found expression through the group’s
social service arm, a not-for-profit trust by the name
of Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan with special emphasis on
education at all levels of the learning curve. This
education initiative is catering to over 9000 students
through 12 institutes including 3 centres of higher
learning.
At our own Baspa – II project site, our sense
of responsibility towards the society has found expression
in several ways:
• Roads have been built in the vicinity of the
project
• Bridges have been constructed in the region
• Funds and expertise for upgrading of existing
schools in the region and for developing new ones have
been provided
• Health care facilities in the form of a hospital,
new dispensary, doctors and medical staff as well as
free medicines have been arranged by the company in
the vicinity of the project for the benefit of the people
of adjoining villages.
• Indirect generation of employment, through better
connectivity.
If there is a sole factor behind the Group’s phenomenal
rise to success and leadership, then it is the unwritten
policy of giving back to the society from which the
business derives its own sustenance, through a gamut
of facilities for education and social empowerment of
people of our nation.
