JAIPRAKASH HYDROPOWER FILES PROSPECTUS WITH ROC
- ALL DECKS CLEARED FOR IPO IN POWER SECTOR IN THIRD
WEEK OF MARCH 2005
Jaypee Group recently organized interface meetings to
present credentials of Jaiprakash Hydro-Power Limited
which owns and operates India's largest hydropower plant
BASPA-II (300 MW), in the private sector, in Himachal
Pradesh. Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. (JAL), a prominent
player in infrastructure, i.e. Engineering and
Construction, Cement and Tourism, which are emerging
sectors of the economy, is offering 36.66% stake in its
100% subsidiary company, viz. Jaiprakash Hydro Power
Ltd. (JHPL) to Public through Book Building process. The
prospectus has been filed with the Registrar of
Companies on 8th March, 2005 after due clearances from
BSE, NSE and SEBI. The issue opens on 22nd March, 2005
and shall close on 29th March, 2005. The price band is
Rs.27 to Rs.32 per share of a face value of Rs.10. JHPL
is operating India's Largest hydro power project, Baspa-II
(300 MW) in the Private Sector in Himachal Pradesh,
which is in operation since June, 2003 and is operating
above the rated capacity. |
